Today's issue is sponsored by Pliability.

In the past, I had struggled to get into a daily stretching routine even though I understand how important it is to help reduce stress levels and the risk of injuries in the gym.

I then stumbled upon Pliability, and for the last 18 months, I've barely missed a day, and I feel awesome!

Body - The SAID Principle

Today, we’re going to talk about something called the SAID Principle.

SAID stands for Specific Adaptation to Imposed Demands.

Please stick with me here because understanding this can be a game-changer for your physical goals, personal development, and success, too!

So, in simple-speak, the SAID principle means that when you put certain stresses on your body or brain, they will adapt specifically to those stresses.

Think of it like levelling up in a video game. The baddies get tougher, but so do you, right?

But here’s the tricky part…

Trying anything new? It’s gonna be hard, ESPECIALLY if you’re venturing into this in your 30s, 40s or even beyond.

Starting a new gym routine?

Feels like you’re lifting mountains.

Going for a run?

Why does it feel like you’ve got bricks for shoes?

And let’s not even talk about that first martial arts class where you felt less like Bruce Lee and more like... well, Bruce Willis in a rom-com. 😂

But remember, this is where the magic happens.

When you feel that discomfort, that’s the SAID principle kicking in.

It’s like a little nudge, reminding you: “Hey! This is new, and I’m gonna adapt, but you gotta give me time!”

Success? It’s built on adaptation.

The people you admire, the ones who’ve achieved greatness?

They understood the SAID principle, maybe not by name, but definitely in practice.

They kept showing up, pushing past those initial pains, and adapting.

When others called it a day, they reminded themselves of this magical principle and continued on their way.

The same goes for personal development. Whether you’re learning a new skill, picking up a language, or just trying to read more books, initially, it might feel like you’re scaling Everest.

But with each day, as you show up and challenge yourself, your brain and body go, “Alright, let’s do this!” and adapt.

So, remind yourself of the SAID principle next time you feel like giving up.

Remind yourself that this discomfort? It’s growth in disguise.

Adaptation is the name of the game, and if you stay consistent, you’re not just improving in that particular area; you’re sculpting a stronger, more resilient YOU.

Brain - The 10 Min Breathwork Challenge

Okay, I've got a challenge for you. But first, a question:

Do you ever feel like your brain’s running a million miles a minute?

Or like that anxiety gremlin’s got a megaphone in your ear?

I know I've been there!

Enter: Breathwork.

No, it's not the latest fitness trend, and nope, it's not some fancy new dance move.

I've been doing it for over a year, and let me tell you…

It. Is. Transformative.

Breathwork is literally controlling your breath in a specific way to harvest a BUNCH of benefits.

We’re talking reduced anxiety (adios, little gremlin!), vanishing stress, and a heart rate that doesn't feel like it’s trying to compete with a techno track.

Now, I know what you’re thinking: “Alright, sounds cool, but where do I start?”

Glad you asked!

Because I've cooked up something special just for you - a simple 10-minute breathwork video.

Yup, just 10 minutes out of your 24 hours.

It's a game-changer, and I want you to experience it too.

How do I jump in?

  1. Find a chill spot. Could be your living room, balcony, backyard, or even that tiny space between your bed and the wall.
  2. Click on this magical link. (Seriously, it’s magic. Okay, not really, but it might feel like it after you’re done).
  3. Press play, follow along, and...breathe.

I want to challenge you to try it for a week. Every day, just 10 minutes.

Then hit me up and let me know how you feel.

My bet? You’ll be feeling like you’ve had a mini-vacation in your mind.

Business - Selling Meat To Vegans

Picture this: You walk into a fresh, new butcher's shop.

The smell of premium cuts fills the air, and there's a glistening display of the best meat on the market. But there’s a twist: not a single soul is buying. Why?

Because this shiny butcher shop is smack dab in the middle of Vegan Village.

Oops.

Sounds ludicrous, right?

But here's the thing: this happens ALL the time in business.

Entrepreneurs set up shop, passionate and eager to sell, without first identifying if there's even a demand in their chosen location or demographic.

This, my friends, is the metaphorical equivalent of selling meat to vegans.

Knowing your audience isn't just Business 101—it’s the foundation of your entire operation.

You wouldn’t serve steak in a vegan restaurant, so why market your product to an audience that isn't interested?

To ensure you don't end up like our befuddled butcher, ask yourself my Four P’s:

  1. Passion - Who lights your entrepreneurial fire? Who do you wake up excited to help?
  2. People - Dive deep. Who EXACTLY is your ideal customer? What do they like? Where do they hang out? What’s their favourite Netflix show? (Okay, maybe you don’t need that last one, but you get the gist) and craft a detailed buyer persona.
  3. Problem - Get into their shoes. What keeps them up at night? Identify their three biggest day-to-day challenges.
  4. Product - Here’s where the magic happens. Create a solution that addresses at least one (or hey, go big and tackle all three!) of those main problems.

So, whether you're selling meat, vegan goodies, or anything in between, remember to always, ALWAYS, know who's in your audience.

That way, you ensure that your offer is not only relevant but irresistible!
